One big realisation during the course was about how important it is to know about wildlife (plants, flowers, trees, funghi, animals) – and how little I actually DO know about this!
When designing spaces, it is important to understand beneficial relationships, matching function to elements and stacking these to create multiple uses. This requires knowledge of inputs and outputs and how things interact.

2. Find out about any local courses on plants
3. Visit my local growing spaces and wild areas to investigate
4. Buy some decent reference books
5. Develop my own reference cards
